Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or Survey Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle.
• Knowledge of construction inspection, surveying, and plan reading.

Responsibilities

• Support higher level technicians or engineers in construction inspection on roadway projects.
• Perform field tests, data collection, and daily reporting.

This position requires the performance of a wide variety of standardized and non- standardized tests and assignments in compiling, analyzing, computing, editing, and processing field data for daily reports. This work involves limited decision making and use of judgment. Employee in this position will perform a full range of calculations and computations.• Selected applicant must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle.Position will perform both office and field duties. Projects may last for several months or longer. May be subject to a wide range of hazards such as rough or uneven terrain and/or work in adverse weather conditions to include heat or cold. This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. May be required to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours as necessary.
