The position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience, with potential PE registration, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • May require registration as a Professional Engineer by the NC Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
  • Experience with surveying principles as they apply to boundary, geodetic, and route surveying.

Responsibilities

  • Perform beginning level engineering work applying professional techniques to moderately difficult transportation, design, or analysis projects.
  • Assist higher-level engineers on major or complex projects.
  • Address the functionality and applicability of survey data for project design with minimal supervision.
  • Support higher-level engineers in project design through review and development of project data.
  • Provide engineering coordination of projects with in-house and Private Engineering Firms’ field forces.
  • Serve as primary contact to property owners during project development.
