Job summary

Belcan Corporation in Malabar, FL is seeking an Engineering Technician on a 12-month contract. Immediate start for contractor C role supporting testing, ESS and depot activities with engineers and production teams.

You will work with diagnostic tools (DMM, oscilloscope, logic analyzers) and read electrical schematics, aiming for efficient fault isolation and process improvements. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Nice-to-have associate degree and related work history.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Work with minimal supervision following defined processes.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize test processes.
• Troubleshoot to component level using diagnostics.
• Utilize DMM, oscilloscope and logic analyzers for fault isolation.

Job Description

Test Engineering Technician candidate to join our customers team where the candidate will support production, Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and Depot testing, troubleshooting and fault isolation.

Essential Functions

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or schematics to perform work duties.
• Work with little to no supervision using a prescribed set of processes and procedures.
• Work directly with engineers optimizing test processes and procedures.
• Lean, continuous improvement mindset.
• Using a variety of diagnostic tools, DMM, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzers, etc., troubleshoot and fault isolate to component level.
• Possess a positive attitude and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with National Instruments Test Stand and Linux operating systems.

Qualifications

• Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
