Job summary

Belcan Corporation in Oxnard, CA is seeking an Engineering Technician 2 to support engineers with testing and technical tasks. You will execute comprehensive test plans, participate in readiness reviews, and analyze data to aid engineering evaluation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a technician in manufacturing/engineering.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and process documentation.
• Experience in Cleanroom Environment and Environmental Test Area.
• Overtime and weekend work availability as needed.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to travel approx. 10% to Oxnard/Goleta sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide test and technical support to engineers on various tasks.
• Execute component and system level test plans and events.
• Participate in test planning and readiness reviews.
• Analyze measurement requirements and tolerances.
• Maintain documented test processes and equipment best practices.
• Maintain and improve test equipment and infrastructure.
• Collect, format, and analyze technical data and test results.
• Conduct tests and record data to aid engineering evaluation.
• Maintain engineering documentation and reports (procedures/test reports).
• Support internal and external customers' needs.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve test problems for manufacturing and test engineering.
• Analyze data and provide reports in customer formats.
• Support multiple shifts (1st 7:00-16:45; 2nd 14:30-Midnight) and travel ~10%.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking aTest Technician (Level 2)to join our team located inOxnard, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide test and technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
• Execute comprehensive component and system level test plans, procedures and test events.
• Participate in test planning and test readiness reviews.
• Analyze measurement requirements and equipment measurement tolerances.
• Define and maintain documented best practices for test processes and equipment.
• Contribute to maintaining and improving test equipment and infrastructure.
• Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such component and systems level test results and engineering design changes.
• Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
• Maintains engineering documentation and reports. (procedures and test reports)
• Support internal and external customers" needs.
• Identify, troubleshoot and solve test problems and provide assistance to manufacturing, inspection and test engineering related issues.
• Analyze data and provide reports in a variety of customers format.
• Must be able to support working multiple shifts; i.e.: 1st shift 7am to 4:45pm and 2nd shift 2:30pm to Midnight.
• Ability to travel between the Oxnard, CA, and Goleta, CA sites and travel to support customers, and needed, approximately 10%.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 year"s additional education and/or related experience.
• 2+ years overall experience as a technician in the manufacturing/engineering field.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience working with a Microsoft Office product and process documentation.
• Experience working in Cleanroom Environment and Environmental Test Area.
• Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to work on feet for extended periods of time.
• Ability to manipulate equipment weighting up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with working around delicate spacecraft hardware an advantage.
• Certification in engineering disciplines.
• Some college preferred.
