Job summary

Olivenhain-Municipal-Water-District seeks an Engineering Technician II or III to support the Engineering Department with CIP projects, GIS updates, and coordination with developers. The role requires strong organization, knowledge of permits, and budget-aware oversight.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with engineering office work experience.
• Valid California driver’s license and proof of insurability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred for Levels I–III.

Responsibilities

• Provide planning support and construction coordination with design consultants and developers for CIP and district projects.
• Develop standard agreements for pipelines and facilities required by the District.
• Track project status and coordinate deposits with project proponents.
• Coordinate with consultants regarding project reviews and attend related meetings.
• Manage GIS data updates and CAD-based engineering plans.
