Job summary

Stockton East Water District is seeking an Engineering Technician to support design and construction of District structures and facilities. You will draft and survey, review plans for compliance, and assist with engineering reports and permit applications.

Requires sixty semester units in pre-engineering, plus one year of engineering support experience and AutoCAD/GIS proficiency; a California driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of sixty semester units or equivalent in a pre-engineering or related curriculum.
• 1 year of responsible technical experience in engineering support.
• AutoCAD and/or GIS experience; a valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform drafting, surveying and technical engineering support for design and construction of District structures and facilities.
• Review maps and plans for conformance with District engineering and legal requirements.
• Assist with development and preparation of engineering reports and permit applications; assist with inspections on District projects and related duties.
