Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific seeks experienced, journey-level Engineering Technicians to join a team delivering critical infrastructure and construction support for Navy facilities. You will apply technical expertise in construction to provide engineering support across contracts with Navy, Marine, Air Force, and private contractors.

At Officer in Charge of Construction Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard (OICC PHNSY), we bring together diverse engineering and technical talents to deliver cutting-edge, impactful infrastructure projects that secure our nation's future. We are currently looking for experienced, journey-level Engineering Technicians to join our dynamic team and make a lasting impact.

A OICC PHNSY Engineering Technician will develop and apply specific technical expertise in the field of construction to provide engineering support services in the field of construction contracts between Navy, Marine, Air Force and private contractors.

As an Engineering Technician you will:

  • Inspect active construction projects for quality, safety, health, and contract compliance.
  • Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and contractor submittals.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project teams to evaluate progress, and resolve field issues
  • Document engineering analysis work, data compilation, reports and research
  • Use your construction expertise to help deliver safe, high-quality Navy facilities on time and within budget.

Key Position Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance
  • A US Citizen aged 18 or older at time of hire
  • Males registered or exempt from Selective Service www.sss.gov
  • Determined suitable for federal employment (process includes a background check and fingerprinting)
