Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking an Engineering Technician to join the Engineering Operations team in Boise, ID. You will support prototype development, test and checkout, and follow technical documentation to ensure accurate results.

The ideal candidate has hands-on testing experience with electro-mechanical systems, uses oscilloscopes and signal generators, and works from schematics and plans to troubleshoot and improve test equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting engineering test, checkout, and troubleshooting activities for electro‑mechanical systems and/or electronic circuitry.
• Ability to interpret schematics, diagrams, and defined test plans.
• Hands-on use of test and diagnostic equipment for development and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering activities including design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype systems.
• Perform testing and checkout using schematics, diagrams, and defined plans to complete test, checkout, and troubleshooting functions.
• Conduct operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment, and assist in identifying corrective actions for malfunctions.
• Assist in the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment used for development and diagnostics.
• Use oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other test apparatus to execute test programs for analog, digital, and/or video circuits.

Our clientis seeking a Engineering Technician to join their team. As a Engineering Technician, you will be part of the Engineering Operations team supporting prototype development and test activities. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a hands‑on troubleshooting mindset, and the ability to follow technical documentation to ensure accurate test results.

What's the Job?

• Support engineering activities including design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro‑mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, or specialized test equipment.
• Perform testing and checkout using schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, and defined plans to complete test, checkout, and trouble‑shooting functions.
• Conduct operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment, and assist in identifying methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
• Assist in the design, construction, test, and check‑out of test equipment used for development and diagnostics.
• Use manufacturing, test, development, and diagnostic equipment (including oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus) to execute test programs for analog, digital, and/or video circuits and logic systems.

What's Needed?

• 3-5 years of experience supporting engineering test, checkout, and troubleshooting activities for electro‑mechanical systems and/or electronic circuitry.
• Experience working from technical documentation such as schematics, diagrams, and defined test plans.
• Ability to perform operational testing and fault isolation, and to support corrective actions for malfunctions.
• Hands‑on experience using test and diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes and signal generators.
• Comfort assisting with the build and check‑out of test equipment used in development and diagnostic workflows.
