Simpson Strong-Tie Company Inc. is seeking an Associate Technical Support Representative to provide technical assistance for the Engineering department and testing laboratory across all product lines.

You will serve as the front line of customer service for all Simpson Strong-Tie products, software, and services, researching solutions via test databases, literature, Salesforce, and internal boards. Collaboration with engineers on reports and hanger designs is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Ability to interpret structural drawings and drafting standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication to write documents and correspond with customers and employees.
• Ability to learn new processes quickly.
• Basic math including algebra, trig, geometry; compute rates, ratios, percents.
• Proficient in Windows data entry (Word/Excel/Access).
• Knowledge of Smartsheets or similar programs; quick to learn.
• Common sense reasoning to follow written or diagrammed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the front line of customer service technical support on all products, software, and services via the Engineering Phone Queue.
• Research solutions by exploring test databases, literature, Salesforce, and internal boards.
• Provide technical information on products/software via email and other written communications.
• Assist engineers with test reports, technical letters, and custom hanger designs.
• Participate in special projects as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
