Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie Company Inc. in Stockton, CA is seeking an Associate Inside Sales Representative to service customers, handle inquiries, and process orders. You will train on our products to answer questions and support customers.

You will answer calls, input orders, and provide technical help when possible, with a focus on accuracy and timely service in a fast-paced sales environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, MS Word, and similar programs.
• Accountability & dependability: reliable, punctual attendance.
• Mathematical reasoning: basic arithmetic, fractions, percentages.

YOU

As an Associate Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for servicing the customer by handling all types of customer problems and request as well as processing orders. You will be training on our products in order to answer customer questions as well.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (% of Time)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
• Customer service experience a plus.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency with Outlook, excel, MS Word, and similar computer programs.
• Accountability & Dependability: Able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.
• Mathematical Reasoning: Able to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, percentages and decimal equivalents.
• Reading Comprehension: Able to read and write simple correspondence and able to follow instructions.
• Analysis / Reasoning: Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Customer Focus: Ability to quickly and effectively solve customer problems.
• Communication: Able to communicate one-on-one and in small group settings and in a team atmosphere.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This job does not normally require travel, but it may come up for training purposes.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Stockton, CA.

RELOCATION

Relocation is not available for this position.

PAY

$21.91 - $31.39 / hour
