Job summary

Westgate Resorts, VI Resorts at Homestead in Lynden, Washington, is seeking an Engineering Technician II to keep our resort safe, beautiful, and guest-ready. You will troubleshoot repairs, perform maintenance, and support guest service with a focus on quality craftsmanship and safety.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and a Certified Pool Operator license, with opportunities to grow within a large hospitality network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1–3 years of hands-on maintenance or skilled trades experience in resort/hospitality.
• Valid driver’s license required.

JOB SUMMARY

What You Will Do:

• Perform engineering projects, preventive maintenance, resort blitzes, and guest service calls as assigned by resort leadership.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical, appliance, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• Repair and maintain interior and exterior building components, including walls, ceilings, paint, textures, caulking, and flooring materials.
• Maintain pools, spas, and water features, including chemical balancing, cleaning, and general upkeep.
• Support procurement and inventory processes to ensure adequate materials, supplies, and tools are available.
• Utilize HotSOS and other resort operations systems to manage and document maintenance activities.
• Communicate professionally with guests and team members to resolve maintenance concerns and deliver exceptional service.
• Safely operate maintenance equipment, including hand and power tools, ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Identify, report, and help resolve potential safety hazards while adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on maintenance or skilled trades experience in a resort, hospitality, or commercial environment.
• Valid driver's license required and must be maintained throughout employment.
• Certified Pool Operator license is required by the resort.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, and general building maintenance.
• Strong guest service, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience using maintenance management systems, including HotSOS, preferred.
• Regularly, the team member must lift, move, push, or pull up to 50+ pounds.
