AdventHealth in Merriam, Kansas, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift to replace and repair patient room equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. You will respond to equipment failures, assist in installation of signage, and support facility improvements in a healthcare setting.
The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience preferred, and a valid Driver's License.

Replaces and repairs patient room equipment such as light bulbs, televisions, thermostats, telephones, curtain tracks, doors, door closers, corner guards, wall base, floor coverings, and ceiling tiles. Unplugs drains and repairs faucets and flush valves. Responds to electrical, HVAC, and plumbing failures. Repairs medical gas outlets, carts, gurneys, IV stands, and appliances for patient use. Assists in the installation of signage and other wall-hung items. Provides maintenance support in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and facility improvement functions. Communicates with the manager and team regarding the progress of work and activities. Maintains an understanding of healthcare, federal, state, and local regulations and supports meeting the requirements. Participates in Quality Improvement initiatives. Maintains and replaces medical gases as needed in designated areas. Responds to equipment failures in the Boiler Room. Other duties as assigned.
