Job summary

Modular Power Solutions seeks an Engineering Team Lead to manage technical engineering oversight and design staff across multiple projects. The role requires financial acumen, resource planning, and strong leadership to mentor staff while delivering on complex design challenges.

Ideal candidates bring a PE license (or progress towards one), a Bachelor's in engineering, and 8+ years of engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in engineering or related field.
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of Engineering Experience.
• Registration as a licensed US-based Professional Engineer (P.E.) is a plus, but not required for this position.
• Education and experience can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements and develop a design fee for the work requested.
• Prepare and oversee work plans for engineering and production resources.
• Oversee Engineers, Designers and Modeling staff assigned to team or project work.
• Ability to communicate with Project Manager (PM) or Executive regarding effort required to accomplish an expected deliverables and project support.
• Lead the Engineering CAC effort and interaction with the project PM.
• Able to resolve a variety of complex problems (i.e. conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).
• Supervise the coordination of the project with city, state, and county officials, and other regulatory agencies
• Attendance at project design meetings with the overall Design Build Team.
• Job Site Visits to review installation or assess current conditions.
• Perform Value Engineering studies.
• Act as Engineer of Record for projects within their responsibility.
