Job summary

Lutron Electronics, a global leader in innovative lighting control, seeks a Talent Development Manager - Engineering to shape the engineering capability agenda and build technical, professional, and leadership capabilities across the organization.

You will partner with engineering leaders and HR to design practical learning solutions, manage learning programs, and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in Engineering, Learning and Development, or a related field, with a concentration in technology, process management, or quality management preferred.
• 12+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years of people leadership or large-scale project experience.
• 7+ years of experience in learning and development, talent development, or related field supporting engineering/technical organizations.
• Experience designing, developing, and implementing adult learning programs within technology-driven organizations.
• Familiarity with LMS, digital learning platforms, and knowledge management systems.
• Expertise in learning strategy, instructional design, facilitation, coaching, or technical capability development.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Philadelphia, Boston, and Austin.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Shape engineering capability for the future by identifying current and future capability needs and aligning learning strategies with business priorities.
• Develop strategic learning roadmaps and guide leaders in defining capabilities to support future goals.
• Support early-career engineers through enhanced development programs and onboarding.
• Design, develop, and deliver learning experiences across engineering roles using classroom, digital, blended, coaching, and on-the-job learning approaches.
• Advise engineering leaders, diagnose performance gaps, and partner with HR to implement practical learning solutions.
• Evaluate learning impact using data and stakeholder feedback and manage compliance-related programs.
