Electric Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead recruiting for engineering and other roles across Alaska, with potential involvement in Washington and beyond.

The role emphasizes creative sourcing, relationship-building, and in-person recruitment events to attract top talent. As part of the HR team, you will manage high-volume requisitions, coordinate interviews, and ensure compliance with EEO and related laws.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recruiting experience in professional or hard-to-fill roles.
• Experience in writing, revising, and optimizing job postings.
• Ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.
• Experience sourcing talent on multiple job boards, social media, and alternative platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ATS platforms, preferably ADP.
• Strong liaison between hiring managers and candidates to understand goals.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with onboarding and pre-employment processes.
• Knowledge of EEO compliance and employment laws.
• Willingness to travel for recruiting events and job fairs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to develop and refine job postings.
• Conduct outreach on job platforms, social media, referrals, networking, and proactive outreach.
• Screen applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates.
• Manage high-volume requisitions to fill openings.
• Develop and execute recruitment strategies to build talent pipelines.
• Plan, schedule, and attend recruiting events, job fairs, expos, and community outreach.
• Promote the company brand, culture, and career opportunities to candidates and external partners.
• Coordinate interviews, background checks, and employment processing.
• Communicate regularly with candidates regarding status and next steps.
• Ensure compliance with EEO guidelines and employment laws throughout the process.
• Maintain accurate applicant tracking, reporting, and compliance documentation.
