Akkodis is looking for an Engineering Support Specialist in Cincinnati, MI. Please review the details below:

Ideally, you will support engineers and stakeholders on new product teams. Responsibilities include assisting with project execution, engineering tools, performance KPI development and implementation, resource onboarding, and support of third-party programs.

Pay Range: $38-$43/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

May consider remote/hybrid for the right fit

Key Responsibilities:

Assist tech leads and Engineering Project Managers (EPMs) with project execution by gathering project metrics and supporting lean initiatives.
Support engineering teams with task execution and engineering tools.
Assist section and technical managers with third-party resource management.
Assist with onboarding new resources, including company hires, purchased service agreement personnel, and contractors.
Support leadership with monthly headcount and resource supply/demand metrics and tracking at the department and project levels.
Support third-party program activities through purchase order updates, statement of work generation, supplier monitoring/statusing, and collaboration with sourcing teams.
Provide access to engineering tools (RTC, Box, DOORS, Rally, Spotfire, Confluence, Jira).
Develop, implement, and maintain tools/metrics that help engineers.
Provide inputs to leadership for decision-making on projects and products.
Collaborate with Technical Managers to identify and assign required skillsets and resources.
Escalate issues to engineering or business leadership when needed.
Assist in developing and tracking metrics to monitor team progress toward deliverables.
Contribute to continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

Qualifications:

Experience with MS Office tools to generate deliverables (e.g., burn-up/burn-down charts, metrics slides).
Advanced Excel skills using pivot tables, filters, charts, tables, and macros.
Experience developing, presenting, and tracking KPIs.
Experience with DOORS and version control tools (preferred).
Experience with change management and configuration management tools/processes.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Familiarity with schedule and network diagram creation.
Familiarity with earned value and activity-based management methods.
Ability to collaborate effectively with global and virtual teams.
Self-starter with ability to multitask and deliver results.
