Job summary

LG Chem Ohio Petrochemical, Inc. in Ravenna, Ohio is seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to lead the Engineering Team and partner with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and EHS to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related field required.
• Five (5) or more years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Experience leading projects, mentoring team members, or supervising employees preferred.
• Experience in plastics manufacturing, polymer compounding, extrusion, injection molding, or related processes preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support engineering personnel in daily manufacturing and process improvement activities.
• Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting support to improve safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Identify and implement process improvements that reduce waste, improve yields, and optimize manufacturing performance
• Support and coordinate capital projects, equipment installations, process validations, and production start-up activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and achieve business objectives.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Analyze production and quality data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and quality standards.
• Support employee development through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
