Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, EHS, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
• 3+ years of safety experience in chemical manufacturing, plastics compounding, polymer processing, or similar industrial environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to process equipment, industrial machinery, and laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and LG Chem EHS standards.
• Lead or support JSAs, process hazard reviews (including HAZOP), and MOC for new or modified equipment or processes.
• Ensure compliance with LOTO, confined space, hot work, NFPA 70E, machine guarding, and combustible dust requirements.
• Support CSC laboratory, testing, and pilot-scale safety activities; collaborate with R&D to integrate safety into testing.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; perform root-cause analysis and track corrective actions.
