Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking an Engineering Supervisor for Network Underground Services to lead the design team statewide from a Atlanta-area location. The ES will drive safety, inclusion, accountability and employee development while guiding planning, design, estimating, coordination, and lifecycle management of NUS projects.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, at least 4 years in distribution and/or transmission, and proven supervisory experience across multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of Distribution and/or Transmission experience.
• Proven supervisory experience across multiple work locations is preferred.
• Experience coordinating complex work across engineering, construction, operations, customers, and external partners is preferred.
• Ability to coach and develop employees through onboarding and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design team supporting customer, asset management, and capital projects.
• Oversee project intake, prioritization, workload management, design completion, and construction package readiness.
• Ensure estimates, documentation, and project records align with compliance, billing, and capital/O&M requirements.
• Monitor project performance, budgets, governance to support cost-effective execution.
• Partner with Distribution, Transmission, GIS, Construction, Key Account Managers, External Affairs, city officials, customers, and other stakeholders to support project execution and resolve issues.
• Develop employees through onboarding, coaching, field exposure, technical training, and ongoing performance feedback.
• Drive accountability for project follow-up, issue resolution, and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support storm restoration efforts on and off-system as requested.
