Job summary

Georgia Power in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Engineering Supervisor for Network Underground Services (NUS). Based statewide, this role leads the NUS Design Team with a focus on safety, inclusion, accountability, and employee development.

The successful candidate must live within commutable distance to 829 Jefferson St NW, Atlanta, GA 30318. The ES directs planning, design, estimating, coordination and lifecycle management of NUS projects, coaching staff and driving on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of Distribution and/or Transmission experience.
• Formal supervisory experience with multi-location teams preferred.
• Experience coordinating complex work across engineering, construction, operations, customers, and external partners is preferred.
• Development of employees through coaching, onboarding, training, or stretch assignments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design team supporting customer, asset management, and capital projects.
• Oversee project intake, prioritization, workload management, design completion, and construction package readiness.
• Ensure estimates, documentation, and project records align with compliance, billing, and capital/O&M requirements.
• Monitor project performance, budgets, governance to support cost-effective execution.
• Partner with Distribution, Transmission, GIS, Construction, Key Account Managers, External Affairs, city officials, customers, and other stakeholders to support project execution and resolve issues.
• Develop employees through onboarding, coaching, field exposure, technical training, and ongoing performance feedback.
• Drive accountability for project follow-up, issue resolution, and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support storm restoration efforts on and off-system as requested.
