Job summary

Hotel Paseo, Autograph Collection in Palm Desert is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead the engineering team and ensure all critical systems—HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety—operate smoothly for our 150-room boutique property.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will coordinate projects, interact with guests and vendors, and uphold brand standards while driving preventive maintenance and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints/schematics and OSHA standards.
• Strong technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pools, life-safety systems and PM processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain building systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Analytical skills to assess problems and implement solutions.
• Must be able to safely use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee building operations with the Director of Engineering, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, aquatic facilities and preventive maintenance.
• Supervise, direct and inspect Engineers/maintenance daily to meet standards and deadlines.
• Coordinate and roll out projects as directed.
• Interact with guests, contractors and vendors as needed.
• Maintain brand and service standards and meet expectations.
• Perform day-to-day maintenance and preventive tasks as assigned.
• Conduct regular walk-through inspections of public areas, back of house, guest rooms and exteriors.
• Other duties as assigned.
