Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead a customer-focused team of product and process engineers, directing project selection and prioritization while ensuring training and compliance across development and manufacturing.

The role emphasizes LEAN leadership, cost reduction, and continuous improvement, with responsibilities to develop engineer talent and collaborate across functions to meet customer and company requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials or related engineering field required.
• Master’s degree is a plus and may be preferred.
• Minimum 5–10 years of product or process engineering experience in investment casting.

Responsibilities

• Direct a customer-focused group of product and/or process engineers.
• Oversee the process of project selection, assignment and prioritization.
• Ensure personnel are properly trained in procedures and knowledge required for their jobs.
• Resolve problems and provide leadership to cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies in development, manufacturing, application and documentation of processes.
• Develop a pipeline of engineers through engagement with Co-op and Development programs.
• Generate and implement ideas for product improvement, expansion, rationalization and cost reduction.
• Develop procedures for new business processes.
• Assist Engineering Manager in part quoting and budgeting processes.
• Foster LEAN culture throughout the operation.
• Create reports and briefings (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, ad hoc).
