Job summary

Precision Castparts in Mentor, OH is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead a skilled team of product and process engineers. You will direct engineering activities, drive lean improvements, and ensure customer and company requirements are met through strong leadership and technical guidance.

The role emphasizes developing the team, prioritizing projects, coordinating cross-functional work, and delivering reliable processes for manufacturing and documentation in an investment casting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials or related Engineering discipline.
• Master’s degree a plus.
• Minimum 5–10 years of product or process engineering experience in investment casting.

Responsibilities

• Direct a customer-focused group of product and/or process engineers.
• Oversee project selection, assignment and prioritization.
• Ensure personnel are trained in required procedures.
• Resolve problems and provide leadership to cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies in development, manufacturing, and documentation.
• Develop engineers through Co-op and Development programs.
• Generate and implement ideas for product improvement, expansion, cost reduction.
• Develop procedures for new business processes.
• Assist Engineering Manager with part quoting and budgeting processes.
• Foster LEAN culture throughout the operation.
• Create reports and briefings (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, ad hoc).
