Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking an Engineering Supervisor I to provide technical and administrative support to the Division Maintenance staff in New Hanover County. The role oversees maintenance projects, budgets, and reporting, ensuring policy adherence.

You will lead meetings, coordinate with public officials, and help develop contracts for maintenance functions while guiding a team of supervisors on budget management and effective problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3 years of progressively responsible experience.
• Professional engineer (PE) licensure may be required.
• Equivalency between education and experience may apply.
