Assist the Director and Assistant Director of Engineering with technical and administrative tasks, supporting all operational aspects of the Engineering Department.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist in maintaining preventative maintenance, keeping logs, scheduling, and project assignments.
  2. Support procurement of supplies and issuance of purchase orders.
  3. Review work orders, prioritize, and assign tasks.
  4. Maintain inventories of utilities and maintenance supplies.
  5. Respond to guest requests promptly.
  6. Coordinate activities of the engineering staff on shift.
  7. Take full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the absence of senior staff.
  8. Understand Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation protocols.
  9. Familiarize with Omni's job scenarios and safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • Previous building maintenance experience required. Entry-level (Class 3), 1-year experience (Class 2), or 2+ years in hotel maintenance (Class 1).
  • Experience with electrical, HVAC, and use of tools and equipment. More experience required for higher classes.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Perform inspections and repairs in various locations.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and mobility across hotel property.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces.
  • Proficiency with power tools and safety equipment.
  • Strong time management, customer service, and attention to detail skills.
  • Computer literacy and adherence to deadlines and policies.
  • Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
