Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking an engineering-oriented professional to support designated projects at our Miami smelter and rod plant near Phoenix.

This role involves providing technical guidance, reviewing projects, and participating in site construction, expansions, or modifications while managing vendor contracts. The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED with 4 years of engineering experience or a bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, and must pass required training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years of engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline.
• Pass medical exam and required training.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice for designated engineering projects and programs at the site.
• Review, investigate and develop recommendations for assigned engineering projects.
• Participate in small to medium site construction, expansion or modification projects and administer contracts with vendors for services and equipment.
