Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking an engineering professional to support designated projects at our Miami smelter and rod plant, located about 90 miles east of Phoenix.

You will contribute technical guidance and help ensure compliance with local regulations while supporting site operations. Applicants may bring a high school diploma with 4 years of engineering experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline; the role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive base pay

Our Miami smelter and rod plant is nestled just 90 miles east of Phoenix. The smelter processes copper concentrate primarily from our company’s Arizona copper mines and is the most significant source of sulfuric acid for our North American leaching operations. What You Will Do

Under close supervision, you assist in providing technical advice and guidance for designated engineering projects and programs at the assigned site. You assist in the review, investigation and development of appropriate recommendations regarding assigned engineering projects. You participate on small to medium site construction, expansion or modification projects and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment. You develop a working knowledge of local, state and federal regulations appropriate to the area of assignment and perform other duties as required.

What You Bring To Freeport

• High school diploma or GED and 4 years of engineering experience

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline

What We Offer You

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently$80,000 - $110,000.This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
