Job summary

Loews Hotels & Co at Cabana Bay Laundry in Apopka, FL is seeking a maintenance technician to perform repair, replacement and installation of laundry equipment and related systems. You will work with Chicago, Milnor, and Jensen machines, applying mechanical skills and basic math to keep operations running smoothly.

Candidates should have 2–3 years of hands-on maintenance experience, strong English communication, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience with Chicago, Milnor, and Jensen laundry equipment.
• Advanced English language communication to read logs, blueprints and safety instructions.
• Basic trade mathematical skills.
• 2–3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a technical environment.
• Ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 75 lbs and full availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance, repair, replacement, and installation of laundry equipment, washers, dryers, conveyors and related machinery.
• Maintains electrical systems, control systems, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, boilers and steam distribution.
• Adheres to OSHA safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains utility and sewer systems for Laundry operations.
• Prepares records and reports describing procedures and solutions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with Chicago, Milnor, and Jensen laundry equipment required.

• Advance English language communication skills in reading/writing and speaking in order to complete logs, read blueprints and mechanical drawings, communicate with co-workers and fully comprehend job assignments safely.

• Basic trade mathematical skills.

• Strong mechanical background with minimal 2-3 years' hands on experience in maintenance related activity.

• Ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 75 lbs. repetitively.

• Requires full availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Performs technical work in the maintenance, repair, replacement, and installation of laundry equipment, commercial washers, dryers, conveyors, ironers, folders, boilers and steam press.

• Good knowledge of electrical systems, computers control systems and components, pneumatic and hydraulic controls and systems boiler and steam distribution and return, air conditioning and the maintenance and repair of all.

• Good knowledge of OSHA safety procedures and regulations.

• Good knowledge of utility and sewer systems associated with Laundry operations.

• Prepares records and reports describing procedures, action taken, and recommended solutions.

• Other duties as assigned.
