Job summary

Loews Hotels & Co at Universal Orlando is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to service laundry equipment and related systems, including commercial washers, dryers, conveyors, irons, boilers and steam presses.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of maintenance experience, a strong mechanical background, and advanced English communication; must understand electrical systems and OSHA safety procedures, and be able to bend, stoop and lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with laundry equipment equipment and related systems is required.
• Advanced English language communication skills in reading/writing and speaking to complete logs and read blueprints.
• Basic trade mathematical skills.
• Strong mechanical background with 2–3 years of hands-on maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance, repair, replacement, and installation of laundry equipment ( washers, dryers, conveyors, ironers, folders), boilers and steam presses.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, computer controls, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, boiler and steam distribution and return, air conditioning.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety procedures and regulations.
• Experience with utility and sewer systems associated with laundry operations.
• Prepares records and reports describing procedures, actions taken, and solutions.
• Other duties as assigned.
