Job summary

Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando is seeking a maintenance technician with strong mechanical skills to service laundry equipment and related systems at our hotel complex. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of hands-on maintenance experience, including electrical and control systems knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Full availability is required, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience with laundry equipment (Chicago, Milnor, Jensen)
• Advanced English reading/writing and speaking to read logs, blueprints and communicate safely
• Basic trade mathematical skills
• 2–3 years hands-on maintenance experience
• Ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Full availability including days, nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, replace, and install laundry equipment (commercial washers, dryers, conveyors, ironers, folders, boilers, steam press)
• Knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, pneumatic/hydraulic controls, boiler/steam distribution, HVAC, and laundry systems maintenance
• Follow OSHA safety procedures and regulations
• Understand utility and sewer systems related to laundry operations
• Prepare records and reports describing procedures and actions taken
• Other duties as assigned

About Lakewood Regional Support

Our regional support center provides resources to our hotels for multiple areas including Human Resources, Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Security, Group Reservations, Guest Contact Center, Information Technology, Laundry and Communications.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with Chicago, Milnor, and Jensen laundry equipment required.
• Advance English language communication skills in reading/writing and speaking in order to complete logs, read blueprints and mechanical drawings, communicate with co-workers and fully comprehend job assignments safely.
• Basic trade mathematical skills.
• Strong mechanical background with minimal 2-3 years' hands on experience in maintenance related activity.
• Ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 75 lbs. repetitively.
• Requires full availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical work in the maintenance, repair, replacement, and installation of laundry equipment, commercial washers, dryers, conveyors, ironers, folders, boilers and steam press.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, computers control systems and components, pneumatic and hydraulic controls and systems boiler and steam distribution and return, air conditioning and the maintenance and repair of all.
• Good knowledge of OSHA safety procedures and regulations.
• Good knowledge of utility and sewer systems associated with Laundry operations.
• Prepares records and reports describing procedures, action taken, and recommended solutions.
• Other duties as assigned.
