Job summary

Vertiv Corporation in Delaware, OH seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead Single-Phase UPS product definition, engineering alignment, and execution excellence across the portfolio. This role directs Product Engineers, Lead Engineers, Sustaining and Test teams to ensure clear specifications and strong technical direction, with seamless collaboration with design teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years engineering leadership experience (R&D, Product Engineering, technical team mgmt).
• Experience with UPS/power systems, firmware, and mechanical design.
• Knowledge of NPDI, DVT, regression testing, and regulatory/certification processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership defining new product design specifications and resolve complex customer issues for Single-Phase UPS.
• Lead and mentor Product Engineers, Lead Engineers, Sustaining and Test teams.
• Oversee lab, tests (DVT, regression), and ensure defect-free product and firmware launches.
• Manage engineering budget (OpEx) and CapEx projects from quoting to commissioning.
• Organize Design Reviews, DFx Reviews, Pilot Builds, Testing and PPAP activities.
• Drive NPDI effectiveness and accelerate time-to-market through planning and cross-functional alignment.
