Job summary

Solano County's Department of Resource Management seeks an Engineering Services Supervisor to lead the Traffic Engineering and Planning/Environmental Engineering sections, coordinating daily work, ensuring code compliance, and guiding design plans and cost estimates.

The ideal candidate holds a California PE license, a Bachelors in Civil Engineering, five years in civil/transportation engineering, and proven supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Five years' experience including civil engineering, transportation engineering, project design, roadway construction, project management, right-of-way acquisition, environmental reporting, and supervision.
• Possession of a valid Professional Engineering (P.E.) License from the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers.
• Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line supervision to staff in the Engineering Services area and plan design and construction of scheduled projects.
• Coordinate daily work activities and ensure compliance with applicable codes, laws, and regulations.
• Prepare design plans, contract specifications, and cost estimates in collaboration with the Engineering Manager.
