Job summary

Torc is seeking a Manager of Release Management to lead a team responsible for the release lifecycle of engineering and product releases for autonomous driving software. You will coordinate release trains, oversee risk management, and drive improvements across release processes to meet production goals.

The role requires a strong background in large-scale, safety-critical systems, experience with embedded architectures, and collaboration across Dev, Fleet, and V&V teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical field.
• 10+ years experience for software build, integration and test systems.
• 2+ Experience managing a team of direct reports.
• Experience with complex embedded systems including ADAS technologies (autonomous driving software architecture, sensors, networks, compute hardware, control systems).
• Experience with software release tools (build systems, versioning, defect management, source control).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of release managers overseeing the release lifecycle for engineering and product releases.
• Coordinate release activities and perform risk analysis during release execution.
• Schedule agile release trains, manage test activities and release notes.
• Handle Git tagging/branching and track release artifacts.
• Collaborate with Development, Fleet, V&V and product management for planning and delivery of releases.
• Manage resource planning, performance, and career development for team members.
