Job summary

Torc is seeking a Manager of Release Management to lead a team responsible for the release lifecycle of our autonomous trucking software. You will coordinate release trains, manage impact analysis, and ensure traceability of artifacts across requirements, architecture and verification stages.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in large-scale, safety-critical software development, with proven leadership of direct reports and cross-functional collaboration to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical field.
• 10+ years experience for software build, integration and test systems.
• 2+ Experience managing a team of direct reports.
• Experience with complex embedded systems including ADAS technologies.
• Experience with software release tools such as build systems and source control.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to learn in unstructured environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with evolving software/hardware infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver through your team and collaborate across teams to deliver high quality system releases.
• Maintain a rapid engineering development schedule for self-driving software with managed releases.
• Collaborate with Development, fleet, V&V and product management for planning and delivery.
• Coordinate feature deliveries, bug fixes, risks, release notes and change logs.
• Manage impact analysis supporting the product roadmap.
• Lead regular release trains with Git branching and versioning; document artifacts.
• Identify and report release artifacts across requirements to verification deliverables.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, performance management and team development.
