Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. in Andover, MA seeks a Principal Project Manager to lead cross-functional technology initiatives within the Office of the CIO. You will shape demand, manage a portfolio of high-impact projects, translate strategy into detailed plans with milestones, and mentor other PMs.

Required: 7+ years of complex project management, BS or equivalent, and experience with IT Supply Chain or Manufacturing Operations. PMP/CAPM preferred; hybrid PM practices valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of progressive experience managing complex or cross-functional projects.
• Experience with IT Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing Operations.
• PMP or CAPM certification preferred (optional).
• Deep understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid PM methodologies.
• Ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Shaping and sizing the demand pipeline and prioritizing projects.
• Leading a collection of complex, cross-functional projects.
• Translating strategic objectives into detailed project plans with milestones.
• Identifying resources and managing them effectively.
• Mitigating risks, dependencies, and issues across workstreams.
• Aligning business and technical teams for successful delivery.
• Maintaining project budgets and financial trackers.
• Managing change readiness and stakeholder communication.
• Serving as a main liaison to executives and sponsors.
• Creating project artifacts and reporting (plans, status, risks, etc.).
• Ensuring smooth transition from project to steady-state and governance.
