Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead multi-discipline projects from start to finish, controlling scope, schedule, and budget. Hybrid work and travel with limited requirements are expected.

You will coordinate with clients, contractors and design teams, assemble resources, and drive change management while delivering clear stakeholder communications and strong financial oversight.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management with project management experience.
• PE and/or PMP certification preferred.
• 10+ years in project management, incl. 4+ years on large projects.
• Demonstrated leadership and staff development abilities.
• Strong design capability and versatility in major projects.
• Creative, team-focused thinker with strong communication.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-discipline environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office incl. MS Project and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-discipline teams of engineers and architects on projects.
• Coordinate information flow between client, contractors and project team.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget and resources for projects.
• Lead meetings, prepare status reports and communicate with stakeholders.
• Monitor changes and maintain effective change management.
• Provide financials, billing, and monthly client invoices.
• Support contract negotiations and client relationship growth.
• Lead client interactions to align goals with project work.
• Create visuals to summarize engineering results for stakeholders.
• Mentor the team and foster an inclusive culture.
