Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead design teams, manage schedule, budget, and technical scope on large industrial or aerospace facilities. The role requires an ABET‑accredited BS degree and 5–7 years of technical experience, plus at least 3 years of PM experience and strong cost/schedule control skills.

The candidate should be proficient in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and familiar with Bluebeam/SharePoint/RSMeans/CAD/Revit/Creo.

Qualifications

• ABET‑accredited BS degree in a relevant field.
• 5–7 years technical experience in engineering/construction preferred.
• Minimum 3 years project management experience, DoD/Aerospace preferred.
• Proficient in critical path, cost control, risk management, and contract management.
• Understanding of EVM reporting and PSP certification desired.
• PM certification preferred (IAPM or PMP).
• Proficient with MS Windows, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word; familiarity with Bluebeam, SharePoint, RSMeans, CAD, Revit, Creo.

Responsibilities

• Review project requirements and clarify conflicts or gaps.
• Plan activities, costs, and schedules based on team inputs and scopes.
• Collaborate on proposals reflecting client expectations.
• Initiate projects with stakeholders and establish baselines.
• Interface with clients, locations, and sensitive information.
• Lead design team to deliver complete, timely, quality outputs within budget.
• Manage meetings and coordinate with project coordinator for minutes.
• Coordinate internal cross‑discipline work and changes with management and clients.
• Control scope changes and closeout deliverables with documentation complete.
• Track lessons learned and drive improvements in processes.
• Communicate project status with Salas O’Brien leadership.
• Represent the firm professionally in all interactions.
