Job summary

Medix is seeking a Project Manager – Engineer to lead planning, technical execution, and delivery of engineering projects in a high‑reliability manufacturing setting. You will serve as the primary liaison between clients, cross‑functional engineering teams, and executive stakeholders, driving complex solutions from concept through final completion.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 5+ years in a manufacturing environment, and strong CAD, design, and lean/six sigma capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of professional engineering experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software, engineering specifications, and product design methodologies.
• Hands-on familiarity with PCB, electro-mechanical, mechanical, photonics, molding, and assembly processes.
• Lean, Six Sigma, FOCUS, or related continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage budgets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, deliverables, schedules, and resource requirements; monitor milestones and budgets to ensure on-time delivery.
• Review technical proposals, assess specifications, identify schedule/budget risks, and negotiate design or requirement changes with customers as needed.
• Guide, mentor, and coordinate cross-functional project teams to ensure alignment, accountability, and project success.
• Prepare regular status reports, conduct financial and milestone analyses, and present technical updates and solutions to leadership.
• Ensure all project deliverables align with internal quality benchmarks as well as external regulatory and industry compliance standards.
