Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.
• 8+ years of experience managing technical engineering teams.
• Manufacturing process development experience.
• Large form assembly process development preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Visio, Project, AutoCAD; SolidWorks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement projects to eliminate waste using IE/ME methods.
• Verify time standards within the Engineering Team.
• Update and report key Engineering metrics.
• Drive process mapping activities within the assigned area.
• Drive the standardization of SAP and MES configurations.
• Assist in preparing quotes for proposed projects.
• Drive process-related activities for New Product Introduction.
• Support Lean initiatives with data integrity for process improvement.
• Manage cross-functional teams to develop world-class equipment and processes.
• Provide startup assistance to new facility/workcell launches.
• Oversee raw material delivery, storage and line feed systems.
• WIP management, sizing and buffer storage.

The Project Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and managing; integrated, production and service delivery systems that assure performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence and cost control within the production site. The Project ME will adopt as its goals profitability, effectiveness, adaptability, responsiveness, quality, and the continuous improvement of products and services throughout their life cycles.

What will you do?

Project leader - lead and implement projects that will eliminate waste, through the standard Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering process. This will include but is not limited to: Complex Process Simulation, Operations Research and Business Model Cost Analysis

• Verify Time standards prepared within the Engineering Team


• Update and report key Engineering metrics for assigned customer or area


• Drive key process mapping activities within the assigned customer or area


• Drive the standardization SAP and Manufacturing Execution System configuration


• Assist on preparing quotes for proposed projects within the assigned customer or area


• Drive process related activities for New Product Introduction.


• Support the Lean organization by developing a solid process foundation and data integrity to support process improvement through the organization


• Manages cross functional teams to identify, develop, test and implement world class manufacturing equipment, systems, tools, procedures and processes.


• Provides support and technical assistance to new facility and/or Workcell startups.


• Raw material delivery process, storage and line feed systems.


• WIP management, sizing and buffer storage systems.

How will you get there?

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Understanding and application of broad range of manufacturing and industrial engineering tools (ie. Work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, operations research, etc.)


• Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous improvements and cost reduction programs


• Strong communication skills

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering, or similar field career


• 8+ years of experience in managing technical engineering teams and cross functional participation.


• Manufacturing process development experience included


• Large form assembly process development preferred


• Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD skills required. Solidworks proficiency preferred
