Job summary

Medix Staffing Solutions, Inc. seeks a senior mechanical engineer contractor to drive the design of high-reliability automated machinery and systems, and to establish robust project-management standards that help scope, sequence, and break down large NPD initiatives into clear milestones.

You will oversee full lifecycle engineering from concept through production release and collaborate with electrical, firmware, controls, and quality teams to ensure successful integration.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering product design experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME/MSME) or a related field strongly preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of high-reliability automated machinery, tooling, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Manage full-lifecycle NPD from concept and 3D modeling through prototyping, testing, DFM/DFA, and production release.
• Oversee development timelines, budgets, scopes, and risk registries.
• Upskill engineering staff on modern project workflows, milestone tracking, documentation standards, and phase-gate reviews.
