Job summary

Excel Engineering, Inc. seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead client manufacturing facility upgrade and internal engineering design projects.

You will oversee scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating with stakeholders across disciplines. The role encompasses proposal support, kickoff mobilization, risk management, and project close-out, with ample opportunity to expand leadership and engineering skills in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing process improvement or facilities upgrade projects in manufacturing.
• Experience with construction and commissioning of manufacturing upgrade projects.
• 5+ years combined project management/engineering in manufacturing facilities or engineering consulting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the project manager for client projects through charter, kickoff, execution and closeout.
• Use client tools for reporting, financials, schedules and status updates.
• Manage project stakeholders and apply client PM processes throughout the life cycle.
• Support internal engineering projects: assist in proposal/estimate, kickoff, execution, and close-out.
• Coordinate internal resources across multiple projects as needed.

Skills

Supervisory experience

PMP certification (or eligible)

PE registration (preferred)

SAP ERP familiarity

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Chemical, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering (ABET)

GPA 3.0+ on a 4.0 scale
