Job summary

HNTB seeks a Project Manager I – Engineering to lead infrastructure projects from scope to delivery. Based in Rocky Hill, CT and White Plains, NY, you will coordinate cross‑disciplinary teams, manage budgets, schedules, and client communications, and help shape multi‑million dollar programs.

You will develop proposals, support contract negotiations, and mentor staff while upholding HNTB’s 4 for 4 goals—quality, on time, on budget, client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 8+ years of relevant project management experience.
• 2 years as Deputy PM or task management experience.
• Experience in transportation/engineering projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope, fee quotation, and technical proposals.
• Lead client liaison and manage scope, schedule, and budget.
• Perform technical tasks including analysis, design, and reports.
• Implement project delivery plan and mentor the team.
• Coordinate staffing, recruitment, and performance reviews.
• Support business development and client relationships for strategic projects.
• Oversee recruitment and staff development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
