Job summary

Trystar Inc in Burnsville, MN, is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional engineering initiatives within RDE. You will manage scope, schedule, cost, and performance objectives, coordinating mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing workstreams.

The role reports to the Manager, RDE Project Engineering, with no direct reports. Hybrid work is required with travel up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher in engineering or business; CAPM/CPPM certification required at hire.
7+ years leading engineering projects with cross-functional coordination.
Active progress toward PMP is preferred and does not replace current cert.
Experience with scheduling, reporting tools, governance, and change control.

Responsibilities

Independently lead complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects within authority and PM standards.
Coordinate mechanical, electrical, controls, software, manufacturing, and sourcing activities across workstreams.
Develop integrated, resource-backed schedules and track milestones, costs, and ownership.
Maintain risk/issue records and lead governance reviews and design verifications.
Provide monthly progress reports to leaders and ensure alignment with business goals.
Coach project team members on tools, planning, and stakeholder communication.
Support onboarding and training of new team members while avoiding people-management duties.
