Job summary

Trystar in Troy, MI is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team across RDE, ETO, Compliance Engineering and Applications Engineering. You will drive technical quality, schedule adherence, and successful product delivery while mentoring engineers, coordinating with operations and product management, and enabling efficient design-to-build processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Systems, Software, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of engineering experience with 0-3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of design for manufacturability, design for quality and reliability, and FMEA/root cause analysis.
• Experience with power distribution or power conversion equipment is preferred.
• Exposure to CAD, simulation tools, design automation, and PLM systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day engineering work across disciplines, ensuring designs meet requirements and project commitments.
• Coach and develop engineers, conduct onboarding, goal setting, feedback, and performance reviews.
• Coordinate with project engineers, other subfunctions, operations, quality, supply chain, and product management.
• Support new product introduction, custom orders, and product changes with task coordination.
• Identify improvements to processes, design standards, and engineering tools to improve quality and throughput.
• Monitor schedule adherence, design quality, change volume, and cost, and drive improvements.
