Job summary

Applied Engineering, Inc. in Burnsville, MN is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead complex electromechanical projects in a dynamic RDE environment. You will drive planning, scheduling, governance, and stakeholder communications to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role emphasizes mentoring, cross-functional collaboration, and adapting to evolving PMO processes while supporting business growth and customer impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or business field.
• PMP certification or a Master's in PM strongly preferred.
• 7+ years leading engineering projects across mechanical/electrical domains.
• Experience building schedules, charters, RAID logs, and stakeholder plans.
• Ability to lead in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments.
• Proven communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex electromechanical projects in an RDE setting, on time, within scope and budget.
• Manage full lifecycle: planning, execution, tracking, close-out, lessons learned.
• Develop schedules, charters, financial summaries, RAID logs, and comms plans.
• Drive governance, reporting, and consistent project execution across teams.
• Onboard, coach, and mentor team members in risk, schedule, and scope control.
• Coordinate reviews, validation activities, engineering changes, and launches.
• Identify risks and implement mitigations balancing tech, cost, and biz impact.
• Report progress and risks to leadership, and support PMO improvements.
