Job summary

Infinitek Limited in Central Texas seeks an experienced Field Engineering Manager to provide site leadership during construction, commissioning and start-up of a major data center and power infrastructure project. This hands-on role sits at the interface of Engineering and Construction, ensuring designs can be executed in the field and any technical issues are resolved quickly.

You will lead the field engineering team and coordinate with contractors, vendors and commissioning teams.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering major, technically complex projects in LNG, oil & gas, petrochemical, power, data centers or EPC environments.
• Construction, commissioning and start-up on greenfield projects are valued.
• Ability to lead field engineering teams and resolve field issues quickly.

Responsibilities

• Lead field engineering activities across the project.
• Interface between Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, contractors and vendors.
• Manage RFIs, technical queries, field changes and design clarifications.
• Resolve field constructability issues during construction.

Central Texas | Site Based | Major Greenfield Development

We are supporting a privately backed developer delivering a major greenfield data center and power infrastructure development in Central Texas.

We are looking for an experienced Field Engineering Manager to provide engineering leadership at site throughout construction, commissioning and start-up.

This is a hands-on field engineering role rather than a traditional design-office position. The successful candidate will sit at the interface between engineering and construction, ensuring designs can be effectively executed in the field and technical issues are resolved quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate field engineering activities across the project


• Act as the key interface between Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, contractors and vendors


• Manage RFIs, technical queries, field changes and design clarifications


• Resolve engineering and constructability issues arising during construction


• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering support across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and controls


• Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation against field conditions


• Manage engineering interfaces between multiple contractors and work packages


• Support system turnover, commissioning and start-up


• Ensure field modifications and as-built documentation are appropriately controlled


• Provide technical leadership to the field engineering team

Experience

We are particularly interested in individuals who have delivered major, technically complex projects within:

• LNG | Oil & Gas | Petrochemical | Power | Data Centers | Major EPC Projects


• You may currently be working as a Field Engineering Manager, Area Field Engineer, Lead Field Engineer, Construction Engineering Manager or Senior Field Engineer.


• Experience working through construction, mechanical completion, commissioning and start-up on a major greenfield project will be highly valued.


• Previous data center experience is not essential.
