Job summary

Terracon Consultants, Inc. is seeking a project engineer to manage facilities, environmental, and geotechnical projects in Michigan, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and adherence to budgets.

You will supervise project tasks, coordinate with clients and external contractors, lead safety efforts, prepare reports, and conduct meetings to communicate progress. A bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science or geology with relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology with at least 2 years of related experience.
• Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years' related experience.
• A valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of a project to ensure it is safely completed on time and within scope and budget.
• Monitor progress and performance against the project plan.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
• Coordinate project staff and external vendors/contractors for satisfactory service.
• Estimate costs, resources, and time for the assigned phase and monitor activity.
• Conduct project meetings and prepare regular status reports for the client and team.
• Lead safety efforts and ensure compliance with the approved safety plan.
• Submit deliverables to the client as per contract scope and schedule.
