Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a 2027 summer Engineering/Design Intern in Overland Park, KS. You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting product development, testing, and design initiatives that contribute to manufacturing solutions. Ideal candidates are pursuing Mechanical, Civil/Structural, or Design/Drafting disciplines.

This internship offers real-world engineering exposure, collaboration with experienced professionals, and paid compensation with housing stipends for non-local students.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Civil/Structural Engineering or Design/Drafting Technology degree.
• GPA 3.0+.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in product development projects, including design analysis and prototype support.
• Contribute to product improvement initiatives, such as technical feasibility studies and design layouts.
• Create and modify engineering drawings and models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
• Support component and product testing, documenting results and recommending design adjustments.
