Job summary

Amgen is offering an Undergrad Intern - Operations – Engineering (Summer 2027) to work on engineering projects across multiple domains. The program lasts about 13 weeks and can be remote or onsite at New Albany, OH; Holly Springs, NC; South San Francisco, CA; or Thousand Oaks, CA.

You will collaborate with engineers to support project development, costs, and strategic initiatives. The role emphasizes hands-on experience, data and AI-enabled tool development, and safety initiatives while working

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 GPA
• Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship
• Must be available to work a full-time schedule

Responsibilities

• Partner with project design teams and subject-matter experts to support engineering project development, plans, standards, equipment selection, and technical documentation.
• Support engineering assessments, feasibility evaluations, lifecycle impact analyses, cost analyses, and project business cases.
• Research project scopes, construction and engineering processes, and emerging technologies to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support development and implementation of strategic engineering projects, including capital planning and project controls activities.
• Help develop, test, or improve digital, automation, data, or AI-enabled tools that streamline business processes.
• Contribute to safety, health, and environmental initiatives that improve compliance and reduce operational risk.
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and updates to Engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.
