Job summary

Amgen invites rising undergraduate engineers to join a 13-week Summer 2027 internship in Operations – Engineering. Remote or onsite at Thousand Oaks, CA, New Albany OH, Holly Springs NC, or South San Francisco CA.

You'll work with Amgen engineers on areas like Engineering Technical Authority, Global Capital Project Management, and more. You will gain hands-on experience in engineering project development, cost analyses, technology assessment, and the development of digital tools.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's degree program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or equivalent.
• Located in the United States for the duration of the internship.
• Must be available to work full-time during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project design teams to support engineering project development, plans, standards, equipment selection, and documentation.
• Support engineering assessments, feasibility evaluations, lifecycle impact analyses, cost analyses, and project business cases.
• Research project scopes, construction and engineering processes, and emerging technologies to identify improvements.
• Develop and implement strategic Engineering projects, including capital planning and project controls activities.
• Help develop, test, or improve digital, automation, data, or AI-enabled tools that streamline business processes.
